Bill Borden is the Emmy Award-winning executive producer and creator of Disney Channel's smash hit movie "High School Musical" and “High School Musical 2” and in 2008, “High School Musical 3” the feature film.

He counts among his myriad feature film producing credits: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s  "End of Days," Spike Lee’s "Get on the Bus," Robert Rodridquez, "Desperado," “Mission Impossible 3”, "The Cure," "A Midnight Clear," "The Man in the Moon," "La Bamba," "White Nights", “Home of Our Own” and "Against All Odds." “Lock and Roll Forever”,   Disney’s “Meet the Robinson’s”, Columbia’s “Excess Baggage”, "In the Mix" with R&B artist Usher, First Love in Russia for Columbia Pictures.

For the last several years he has been working in China where he has been one of the producers on several movies including “The Medallion” with Jackie Chang, “Kung Fu Hustle” and “The Mermaid” with Stephen Chow, “Mission Impossible 3”, Disney’s “High School Musical China”, “Dragon Nest” and “Ping Pong Rabbit” for Mili Pictures. He was the writer/producer of the Columbia Pictures local language feature "First Love" released in Russia March 2009. 

He is the executive producer on a series of foreign remakes of High School Musical: HSM Argentina, HSM Mexico, HSM Brazil.

For television, Borden executive produced the Disney Channel Original Movies "Tiger Cruise," "Ring of Endless Light" and "Ready to Run" as well as the network pilot "Alive & Kicking," and HBO’s "Body Language," "Backfield in Motion" and "Blackout Effect."

He has produced and financed several movies in the State of Utah including “Lock and Roll Forever” with Sony Music Japan, “The American Mall” with MTV and “Animals” with Anonymous Content.

He was the executive producer of DANCE, an 80 episode Argentinian Telanovella produced in Urugray.

Borden was born in Santa Monica, raised in Encino and attended California State University Northridge. He did his graduate studies at the University of International Arts, Florence, Italy, in the field of Art Restoration. After that he lived in Europe for a few years before returning to Los Angeles to make movies.

He lives in Santa Monica with his wife and three children.
