For The First Time, Digital Video Game Content Will Be Included

ENCINO, CA (April 15, 2013) … The 2013 Digital Media Pipeline conference will be held on

September 24, 2013 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and, for the first time, will

add discussions on digital video game distribution and retailing, the Entertainment Merchants

Association (EMA) announced today. Digital Media Pipeline is a one-day B2B event that brings

together executives from leading providers of digital entertainment content as well as key

retailers and distributors, content aggregators, service providers and new technology companies

to discuss digital delivery of home entertainment.

“This will be the fifth year that EMA has presented Digital Media Pipeline, and the event has

grown along with the digital delivery sector,” noted EMA President & CEO Mark Fisher. “We

are pleased that it has become a vital forum for this dynamic business. And given the increasing

importance of the digital delivery channel to the video game market, it makes sense to include

discussion of digital video games in the conference.”

Recognizing that Digital Media Pipeline is “Where Entertainment and Technology Meet,” this

year’s program will address topics such as:

• The latest device and delivery technologies

• Digital retailing

• Current and emerging business models

• Consumer trends in digital entertainment

• Developments in content

• Projections for growth and monetization

Mitch Mallon, Senior Vice President, Digital Sales for RLJ Entertainment and chairman of the

steering committee for Digital Media Pipeline, said, “The conference is designed to allow leaders

in the digital entertainment community to come together in a format that facilitates information

sharing, industry collaboration, and business relationship development. Each year we develop the

program to focus on the key industry developments and emerging trends.”

Digital Media Pipeline provides excellent opportunities to network with other leading industry

professionals throughout the day, including at the “Skip the Traffic” cocktail party at the
